On Tuesday, April 26th; the Fond du Lac County board took up a carryover budget measure, which in part proposed to secure funds that would help us bridge the remaining dollars needed to build the
splash pad at Riggs County Park. That measure was approved unanimously, and so begins the next phase of our project; bringing the splash pad to actual fruition. We will of course continue to gladly
accept further contributions from donors,... all of which are tax deductible, to fund all the extra special touches that are still available, but we are thrilled to say that this project is finally
becoming a reality.
Our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude goes out to Al Buechel and Sam Tobias, and everyone involved with the Fond du Lac County government, whose assistance and supported of this project made this possible. To all of our gracious financial contributors, our members and volunteers who tirelessly kept the project going; and of course Danelle Smit, who started us off on this wonderful journey ~ Thank you!
On August 19, the Fond du Lac County Board of Supervisors unanimously supported the resolution to make Riggs County Park, on the east edge of Ripon, the future home of the Ripon Noon Kiwanis Splash Pad project. Read more about the board's decision by clicking here. Our club is excited about the this project. You can make donations to the splash pad project on-line through the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation, or through the mail to the club address listed above.
