Kiwanis Peanuts!
If you ordered Kiwanis peanuts to distribute instead of candy at Halloween, your peanuts have arrived at the school district office. Please come by the school district office (near Barlow Park Elementary School) between 7:30 and 5:30 on weekdays to pick-up your box – just ask Karin or Brenda when you enter the building and they will help you. Check for $25, made out to Ripon Noon Kiwanis Club, can be remitted to Richard Zimman. If you wanted to place an order (100 three-ounce bags for $25) but forgot, Richard has a few extra cases to distribute on a first-come, first-served basis.
Brat Fry – Saturday, October 16 – Pick 'n Save
Richard Zimman promises a "Full Flavored" brat fry on October 16. We need members to help! Please email Richard Zimman if you're available October 16.
Tiny Terror on the Square – Thursday, October 28
The Ripon College Community Engagement Committee is asking for Noon Kiwanians to help keep our children safe that evening. They need three crossing guards and three people at the registration table from 4:45 until 7 pm (meet in front of Roadhouse Pizza). Please email Kristy Sadlon if you can help.
Celebrating 25 Years in Kiwanis

Vice President Melissa Wipijewski presented Kiwanian John Roesch with his 25 years of Participation Certificate and Pin. Congratulations, John, on 25 years of service!
Happy Bucks
Tom Kueler is happy that Ripon College has fall break all next week which means no 8 a.m. classes.
John Roesch is happy to get the cast off his ankle next week after his surgery a few weeks ago.
Jack Christ is happy to be celebrating his 20th Wedding Anniversary with his lovely wife Bev. They will be visiting St. Paul, Minnesota and attending the Prairie Home Companion radio show.
Herm Leitz is happy he was able to stay up late on Monday and watch the Minnesota Vikings lose.
Lindsey Michels is happy to report that the United Way earned $3553 at Pick N Save last week. She was happy that all the Aktioneers donated funds to the effort. She is also happy that nine of her family members participated and finished in the 8k race in Milwaukee.
Danelle Phillips is happy that Kiwanian Lindsey Michels finished third in her division and she finished 305 in less than an hour…but super happy she finished the race!
Mary Avery is happy that Circle K President Erin Hying is involved with many programs in Ripon College. She is involved with the Free Enterprise Center and just joined the RC Equestrian Team.
Steve Sorenson is happy the phone call he received from the Oshkosh Police Dept. wasn’t because of his Oshkosh visit earlier that day, a RC student was applying for a job and he gave a great recommendation.
Queen of Spades 50/50 Raffle

Herm Lietz' number was drawn by Helga Rikkers. With $75 in the pot, Herm drew the six of hearts. Better luck next time!
Today’s Program: Committee Meetings

All of the Committees gathered today to accomplish three important tasks, set a budget for that committee and decide what revisions need to be made, come up with a goal and ideas for the next year, and select a chairperson to be the contact for that committee. An e-mail was sent to all of the members with the different committees and members. If you did not ask to be placed into a specific committee, then you were placed in a committee we felt you would be an asset in. If you wish to switch committees, please let President Paul Nulton know. Budget worksheets are to be handed in to Paul by October 19th so our board of directors can set the club budgets for the year.
Paul thanks everyone for their hard work at Tuesday's meeting. Much was accomplished and your contributions are appreciated.
